About Annie
I love the English language, and I love to help others achieve their English-learning goals. People should learn English from someone with a strong understanding of the language, both at a core level, and for effective communication, and I can provide this for my students.
I am also learning three other languages, including British Sign Language, so I understand the challenges faced by students when learning a new language.

I have a 168-hour level 5 TEFL certificate, and have been giving informal lessons for many years. I recently spent three months volunteering in a Ukrainian refugee hostel.
Lessons can be one-on-one or groups, and duration can be decided by the student, as some students only have time for half an hour, whereas others may wish to continue for two or three hours.
Lesson structure is relaxed with conversational methods focussed on subjects students are likely to encounter in daily life. Students may wish to discuss or learn about a particular topic (this method works best for active learners who are invested in learning English), otherwise, simple lesson structure will be followed.
