About Gerda

Graduating from UChicago with a degree in mathematics grounded my practice in rigorous problem solving and logical analysis. Nobody in my family taught, so I built my approach out of trial, error, and a lot of listening over the course of 2 years spent working with students. My expertise spans SAT and ACT math prep, mensuration, Vedic math techniques, statistics, probability, linear algebra, and geometry.

Because I push on small habits that compound, I observe where foundations shift as middle school transitions into high school pathways. Students come to me for exam support or because they are curious about a specific topic, yet my method remains direct and grounded in a curriculum-savvy perspective. I adapt to these different needs quietly.

About the lesson

Since the first session is mostly me listening, I prefer to diagnose your current roadblocks before we start teaching. Thinking about how the math connects is the core of how I work after 2 years of refining my style.

We can take the time to understand exactly where your knowledge needs strengthening. My 10.0 differentiator is the score.

We pinpoint the habits that hinder your progress. You will see exactly why those small errors occur during your practice. These sessions focus on bridging the middle school gap into high school topics through consistent practice. Mathematics is manageable when you stop guessing.
