About Guy
Hi there, my name is Guy. I’ve just finished my degree in English Literature at Newcastle, where I have secured a 2:1. I am returning at the end of September to do a masters. I have plenty of experience working with children, having worked at a prep school called Maidwell Hall on my gap year, for 2 terms. This is a co-ed school for 7-13 year olds. I have also had a couple of nannying jobs. I love sport, in particular, football, cricket and running. I am also a massive Chelsea fan! (I will consider tutoring fans of differing teams, as long as it is not Liverpool.) I very much enjoy working with children, and think I will pursue teaching as a career at some stage in my life. I have worked with boys and girls, and am happy to tutor either. In my free time I love to read, particularly contemporary fiction and books about World War II. I have some previosu experience of online tutoring with KS2-3 pupils.

I base my one on one sessions around the needs and interests of the individual. If the student has a particular interest, integrating this into the session helps them to maintain concentration and enthusiasm, which in turn gives me a better opportunity to communicate the necessary content to improve a given skill.
