About Arooj
Hello! My name is Arooj. I graduated from NYIT with a masters in Childhood Education and STEM Robotics. I have been working as a New York State licensed teacher in the NYC public school systems, and I have also worked as a STEM expert with focus on Robotics and 3D programming languages like Blender.
I have also worked with ESL and teaching English to non speakers as I hold a Bilingual Extension. Over the seven plus years of my teaching I enjoy working with children, and creating and planning lessons based on the personal individual needs of my students and I am a firm believer of differentiation as I am aware that all students can learn and be amazing !

I am an empathetic educator who understands, what its like to be a student and its important to feel relax and not be overwhelmed,I am enthusiastic about learning and be able to learn and teach along with my students.
I am a great listener and love to ask open ended questions to evaluate the student's understandings and misconceptions.
I like to encourage independence by allowing my students to look at their own individual learning and thinking and be patient with the students as I am aware we all learn at a different pace.
Overall I like to motivate, encourage, allow ample time to my students, and show them respect.
