About Behnam

I’m Ben — an experienced English tutor who helps international students build the language, exam technique, and confidence they need to succeed. I teach online to learners in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and beyond, specializing in IELTS, Academic English, essay writing, and presentation skills.

My lessons are practical, structured, and personalized. I break down writing tasks into clear steps—planning, paragraphing, cohesion, and academic vocabulary—so students learn to produce polished essays under time pressure. For speaking, I focus on fluency, pronunciation, and response strategy so candidates perform naturally and confidently in Parts 1–3. I also cover listening and reading strategies, critical thinking for essays, and how to adapt tone and register for academic contexts.

I draw on classroom-tested methods and real exam materials, giving targeted feedback, model answers, and practice that maps directly to assessment criteria. Lessons are calm, focused, and supportive: I meet each student where they are, set clear goals, and track progress with actionable notes.

I hold a BA from the University of Leeds and Master's degree from Shiraz University Teaching English as a foreign language and bring 10 years of international tutoring experience to every session. I offer personalized English and IELTS lessons designed to help students build confidence, improve language skills, and achieve their target exam scores. Each lesson is tailored to your current level and goals. We focus on:

IELTS writing: structuring essays, using academic vocabulary, and crafting high-scoring responses

IELTS speaking: fluency, pronunciation, and effective strategies for part 1–3 questions

Reading & listening: comprehension techniques, time management, and question strategies

Academic English: essay writing, presentation skills, and critical thinking

I use real exam materials, up-to-date practice questions, and clear feedback so students understand exactly what to improve and how to do it. Lessons are calm, supportive, and encouraging — ideal for students who want to gain confidence, master English skills, and achieve measurable results.
