I am an Oxford student in my third year of university, currently on my year abroad.
I believe wholeheartedly in dynamic and creative learning. I aim to inspire my students and encourage them to enjoy learning. My lessons are always thoroughly interactive, and I like to get to know my students so I can help them as best I can i.e. subjects of interest, learning styles, disabilities. I've worked with several dyslexic students, and I'm always keen to learn new ways of teaching.
I have several years of experience teaching English as a foreign language to working professionals within the EU, in addition to improving English among native speakers. I teach a mixture of group and one-on-one lessons.
I currently work for Saft Batteries, where I teach English to managers and engineers.
I also have extensive experience tutoring for university and school applications, and have helped various students get in to Oxford and Cambridge.

Teaching English to engineers with a range of language abilities. Planning and executing my own lessons, creating my own resources, and working with each student on their personalised language targets. Working with the Human Resources team and occasionally doing administrative tasks.

Tutored students from Hong Kong online using Skype. Delivered pre-planned lessons using worksheets and worked towards goals around entrance exams and English language proficiency. Have also been tutoring freelance, giving lessons to students and working professionals.

Gave tours to visitors as well as to prospective students, their parents, and their teachers. Helped with mock interviews and gave advice about the University of Oxford and applications.
Jan – Apr 2015 Volunteer Tutor Team Up
Tutored GCSE students in English Foundation GCSE. Planned lessons independently for students in low-performing schools over the course of a school term. Tailored the work specifically to each student’s needs and according to their ability. Tracked the progress of students, setting goals and ensuring they passed their GCSEs.
