About Mira
With more than 2 years of tutoring experience and an MSc in Radiochemistry, I bring a fresh and practical approach to Chemistry. I specialise in food chemistry and nutritional science, helping students connect scientific concepts to real-world choices about food and health. My lessons focus on macromolecules, additives, and metabolic processes that form the foundation of nutritional chemistry. Students learn how these elements impact both the body and food systems. I use tools such as dietary analysis and food product design to make Chemistry interactive. We also examine chemical reactions in cooking—why bread rises, why chocolate melts, and why flavours change when heated. My teaching style is friendly and clear. I start with nomenclature, functional groups, and isomerism, ensuring the basics are strong. Only then do I guide students into reaction mechanisms and multi-step synthesis.
