About Ameera
I’ve been working as registered nurse for 7 years and in the emergency department for 5; before managing patients it’s English that is the precursor to all treatment and the premise of interaction with people of all ages, nationalities, socioeconomic status and varying levels of health literacy. I can’t emphasise how highly I value it and the importance of effective communication in relaying crucial information to patients from children to the elderly which requires a level of lateral thinking and creativity. The aim is to avoid misinterpretation at any cost which parallels directly to daily life and the messages we intend to relay to those around us.
