About Jan
I’ve always had a strong passion for art and have been practicing it for many years. I studied at art college, where I explored a wide range of mediums and developed my own creative practice. I enjoy working across different forms of art, with a particular interest in sculpture, stone work, and handbuilding. I love the tactile, hands-on nature of creating and bring that same energy into how I teach and support my students.

I take a student-centred, process-based approach to teaching art, focusing on both technical skills and creative confidence. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether they’re learning fundamentals, exploring new mediums, or building a strong portfolio for college or university applications.
My teaching combines step-by-step guidance, demonstrations, and personalised feedback, while encouraging independent thinking and artistic voice.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes (with flexible options). I have 5+ years of experience as an art educator, working with students of all levels—from beginners to advanced—across children, teens, and adults.
