About Laurel
My name is Laurel, a native English speaker who has always excelled at reading and writing. As I entered high school my passion for understanding the English language grew, and I spend most of my time studying Chinese and Korean. I will be starting Arabic next school year which I am very excited about. I have a 4.0 gpa and have won a Gold Key and a Silver Key in the Scholastic Art competition for writing. I am a junior in high school and while I do not have any prior experience in tutoring, I hope you can give me the opportunity to improve upon my passion for teaching and language!

My teaching will be student centered, and because I believe when the student feels comfortable and motivated they will learn better, I will cater to their interests and needs. I am open to any level, need, or situation and I will create lessons based on the students needs, and will work on weakness that come up. All in all, while I am new to this I know I will enjoy communicating with students.
