About Laura

I am a scholarship graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama and an award-winning soprano with an active performance career spanning opera stages and concert platforms. With five years of dedicated teaching experience, I bring both professional insight and genuine passion to every lesson, helping students of all levels feel confident in their vocal technique and artistic voice. My students have gone on to win competitions and have gone on to gain places at prestigious junior conservatoire programmes, including the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music.

About the lesson

My teaching is rooted in healthy vocal production, drawing on the Accent Method and Alexander Technique to build strong, sustainable voices. Each lesson begins with a full body warm-up to release tension, followed by a targeted vocal warm-up designed to develop core technical skills. We then move into repertoire — I encourage every student to bring music they are truly passionate about, so that we can apply the technical foundations learned in the warm-up to real, meaningful songs. From there, the lesson is yours — students are empowered to lead, choosing what they most want to explore and improve in their repertoire, making every session personal, purposeful, and enjoyable.

Unfortunately I am unable to offer free first lessons.

Perfect! I had my first virtual session with Laura today and although I wasn't sure what to expect, I got more from Laura than I had hoped for. She ran me through exercises which showed me where I could improve and gave me a great deal to work on. I felt energised and much more confident even after just one session, can't wait for the next.
