Over the past few years and throughout my time in high school, I've worked with numerous students to help them understand and love mathematics. I've tutored all levels of high school math (as well as middle school levels), including both one-on-one and group sessions. I scored a perfect score on the math section of the SAT and am convinced that anyone can do it as well! From personal experiences, I know that math can be hard, frustrating and make no sense at times. I've been doing math my whole life, but I didn't really start appreciating it until high school, when it really started to become interesting. For example, pi is literally the length of 3.14 circumferences! How cool is that!
My teaching approach emphasizes personalized instruction and a focus on building a strong foundation of understanding for each student. Whether it's breaking down complex concepts into simpler parts or providing real-world examples to illustrate abstract ideas, I'm committed to finding the best approach for each individual student! From my previous tutoring experiences, I've learned that all students are different in their knowledge of math, their love for it, and their confidence. Once a student realizes that they can solve difficult problems on their own, their confidence skyrockets, and all they need is a guiding hand. I look forward to helping as many students as I can!
