About Jamie
I am a patient, dependable, and encouraging tutor who genuinely enjoys helping others learn and reach their goals. I am also a Certified Life Coach through the Life Coach Training Institute, earning my certification in December 2025. My life-coaching background has strengthened my skills in communication, motivation, goal setting, active listening, and working with people who may lack confidence in their abilities.
I am also a songwriter and creative writer, which has given me experience expressing ideas clearly and creatively through writing. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I never believe a student should feel embarrassed for asking questions or needing extra help.
I strive to create a comfortable, respectful, and judgment-free learning environment. Whether a student needs help understanding an assignment, strengthening their writing, improving study habits, or simply gaining confidence, I will meet them where they are and help them move forward one step at a time.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each person’s individual needs, learning style, and goals. I am patient, supportive, and focused on making learning less stressful and easier to understand. I break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and use examples, practice, and repetition to help students truly understand the material rather than simply memorize answers.
A typical lesson begins by identifying what the student already understands and where they are struggling. From there, we work through the material together, practice new skills, and review anything that needs additional attention. I encourage students to ask questions and never want anyone to feel embarrassed about needing something explained differently.
As a Certified Life Coach, I also understand the importance of confidence, motivation, goal setting, and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners. I provide a positive, judgment-free environment where students can learn at their own pace and feel comfortable asking for help.
