About Jarmo-Charles
I am an analytical chemist with a PhD degree (2020) from Rhodes University, South Africa and a BSc from University of Kiel, Germany.
I have a passion for teaching and am highly skilled in relaying complex topics in a easy to understand manner. I exhibit a great degree of patience which allows learners to learn at their own pace and ensures a thorough understanding of the topics at hand. Moreover, I am a compassionate and dedicated tutor who aspires to help my learners reach the maximum of their potential.

My tutoring program begins with an initial assessment of the requirements of each learner to ensure a curriculum tailored to their specific needs. A regular module will begin with an interactive introductory lecture by me, followed by several examples of the application of the concerning theories. Short homework assessments will be provided to the learner to deepen the understanding and gather skills in knowledge implementation. The results will be discussed and feedback will be provided at the beginning of the following lesson. Where required, tutoring will involve supervising and training learners in completing assignments.
My lessons are offered in either English or German and are targeted at high-school students requiring science tutoring, as well as university undergraduates and graduates in Chemistry. Advanced tutoring is available for analytical chemistry techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS).
