About Nicolas

After five years working in various government roles as a policy adviser and community engagement specialist, I decided to return to teaching. I believe critical thinking is a skill that is, unfortunately, increasingly absent in today’s world.

In a consumer-driven society where education is commodified and often reduced to a pathway toward employment and higher income, we are losing the ability to truly think and critically assess the world around us. This impoverished view of education has led to a troubling paradox: the most technologically advanced civilisation in history is also the one that has forgotten how to think.

Through my teaching, I am aiming to help you better understand yourself and the world we live in. I also hope to learn a thing or two from you in the process ;)

I published peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals such as the Australian Journal of Political Science and Democratic Theory. Over 130 citations. Link to my publication record on google scholar available upon request.
