About Tony
I enjoy teaching. I have been doing it since my high school days (then with fellow students), kept doing it through college and grad school. I have taught many many different topics. If I truly understand and know a subject, then teaching becomes a challenge of how to present it in a manner that a particular student a) will understand b) links to his/her level of knowledge at the time. Teaching, as such, is an art. Besides having a deep knowledge of the subject one must inspire confidence in the student and present the material by demystifying it. Whether it's high school math or graduate level mathematics, even the most seemly complicated mathematics is not that hard if explained properly, as I have found. Along the way, I received teaching awards at the college, graduate and career levels. I can teach in English or Spanish.

Main technique is to connect to where student is at and figure the path (always many more than one to find which works with particular student) to communicate the subject at hand. Lesson plan depends on the details of the task. I have many years teaching from high school (my fellow students) to university with many teaching awards along the way. I would be specially interested in teaching students from college and graduate school levels, but can include high school students. My career covers the areas of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry such as quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, kinetics, aqueous chemistry and geochemistry, environmental processes among others.
