About George
I graduated from a PhD in philosophy at the University of Melbourne in 2011. I also completed a JD at the University of Melbourne in 2018. I tutored and lectured in philosophy and the history of ideas at the University of Melbourne and at Deakin University between 2011 and 2025. I have lectured courses in Greek philosophy, modern philosophy, logic, critical thinking, political theory and ethics. I have published widely in these areas and read Classical Greek, French and German.

I have a PhD in philosophy and more than 15 years of university experience teaching philosophy, history of ideas, political theory, classics, and civics education.
I offer a flexible learning approach based on the needs of the student. This can range from Socratic method and a more conversational style to detailed instruction on specific content.
Available for all levels, inclusive of university undergraduate courses, VCE/HSC, independent learning, and basically any students with an interest in philosophy or the history of ideas.
Lessons vary from shorter to longer sessions based on your needs.
