About Sascha
I am a Philosophy student studying at the university of Edinburgh who has a passion for teaching. I have taught multiple students from my previous school, teaching them exam tips as well as revision tips to make sure that they achieve that top grade. Having gone through the GCSE and A-Level system very recently, having achieved an A* and A Grade, I am up to date with the exam boards and what is required to boost your grades. I would be very excited to help anyone on their history or philosophy journey as I believe that these subjects are fantastic and can be so rewarding in your later life. I believe that a combination of formality and informality is necessary for a successful learning experience.
First and foremost, I will structure sessions based on the learning style of the specific student, as in my opinion a cookie cutter session is destined for failure as everyone learns in a unique way. Secondly, I will take the preferred learning styles of the student and create some formality to it - for example having short quiz’s at the end of each session. I believe strongly that through creating a fun and enjoyable way to learn, grades will naturally increase. However, I also will have a strong focus on the marking criteria to make sure that both academic success and enjoyment will go hand in hand.
