I am a patient, compassionate, imaginative, sensitive, and broad-minded person – and these are the top five characteristics that will make me a good teacher. Being patient with slow students is very important for me to carry everyone along in my class. It takes an imaginative mind to picture ahead what and how to teach a topic, and to design the sort of practical demonstrations needed for teaching each session. Also, my sensitive nature makes me flexible to adjust my strategies in the classroom – especially when an assigned task seems not to go well with some students. Finally, my broad-mindedness enables me to assist my student in improving on their language skills as I could easily situate their learning stage and guide them to the next level of understanding
