About Karl
My degrees are in Religion and Philosophy from the University of San Diego. Then I followed my own literary studies leading me from Augustine to German Idealists to Carl Jung and various poets in between.
My brother teaches medieval literature at Princeton University, and while I chose to walk a less structurally academic path, I carry the same teaching gifts he does, embodied in a different way.
My passions have led me to realms less accepted by modern academia, namely, astrology, psychology, metaphysics, and the mechanics of karmic causality that operate beyond the confines of the dualistic frameworks in which these systems are linguistically entrapped.
I am a philosopher in the true sense of the word, unlike the modern understanding of philosophers as academics who need to confine their writing to certain standards of collective consciousness which are tremendously dull and unfree.
I live in Hawaii, I like to surf, write poetry, work on the farm, and live a simple life.
My goal is to help you know yourself.
