About Naeem

Teaching at different academies and working as home tutor was preferred part time job during my under-graduation studies. I served as Primary school teacher at one of the leading school in my area. Later on I stood first in the written test conducted for the selection of subject specialist chemistry and was appointed as subject specialist to teach Chemistry to the A and O Level students. During my graduate training, I was also fortunate enough to have served as a teaching assistant and occasionally substitute lecturer for an under-graduate level course on synthetic organic chemistry. I served as assistant professor and my duties involved teaching medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry subjects to the postgraduate students. These experiences have built my confidence and an interest in teaching and I look forward to the opportunity to teach exiting courses.

About the lesson

Teaching has always been my passion that`s why i opted it as a profession. I am equipped with wide range of experience (10 years) in teaching ranging from Primary school to postgraduate level.
My ultimate goal is to foster student`s passion and curiosity because I am advocate of passionate and curious mind. All human beings are innately equipped to be endlessly exploratory, to ask questions, to be fascinated by the world and other minds around them.
I believe that the best way to encourage such curiosity and enthusiasm is to root the classroom in inquiry base learning. Students tend to learn fundamental concepts better when they know they will soon be asked to apply them to problems they find important and relevant. I plan to structure my courses with challenging and interesting questions right from the beginning of the semester, and try to infuse the students with a desire to know more, to realize that one answered question leads to many others, and with the analytical tools they need to justify the curiosity. My role in the inquiry classroom resembles my experience as an outdoor educational leader: a facilitator and guide in a challenging adventure designed to foster collaboration, discourse and discovery.
