About Arka
I am a Postgraduate in English Literature (M.A. in English) from Central University of Karnataka [FULL TIME] with 67% marks in total aggregate with subjects studied Romantic Literature, Victorian Literature, Postcolonial Literature, Travel Literature, Eco Literature, Cultural Studies, Women's Writing, American Literature, Drama and Theatre Studies etc. My dissertation titled "REDEFINING BOB DYLAN'S SONGS AS LITERATURE" brings out the contradiction between high culture and pop [low] culture, the politics behind it, and how, with awarding Dylan, The Nobel Committee deconstructed the conventional notion of superiority of high culture as a mainstream culture over popular cultures and denial of the co-existence of that.

Above all, I strongly believe in building up a healthy rapport with the class - that is where everything begins. My teaching method is an extension of two-way communication between the teacher and pupils, rather than spoonfeeding them. I am proficient with presentation based teaching which helps students visualize the lessons, and also enables them to interact in a more fascinated way. I would also like to indulge my students in class activities such as assignments, surprise tests, presentations etc. dynamic internal assessments.
