About Indie
I am an ESL tutor with 7 years of experience teaching high school and college students. I have successfully taught 150–200 students, helping them strengthen their English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. My teaching philosophy focuses on building confidence, encouraging active participation, and making learning practical and enjoyable.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs and learning style, using interactive activities, conversations, and real-life examples. Many of my students have improved their academic results, gained fluency, and become more confident in expressing themselves in English. I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring and mastering the language.

My ESL teaching methodology emphasises creativity, mentorship, and critical thinking. I believe English should be interactive, enjoyable, and useful. I use exercises like storytelling, discussions, and role-plays to help students think independently and communicate naturally.
I act as a mentor, providing guidance, encouragement, and support, helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. Accountability is an important focus, so students take ownership of their progress and learning.
Critical thinking is key to my lessons. Students learn to analyse texts, express ideas clearly, and strengthen reasoning skills, which improves both academic and practical English.
I also teach related subjects, such as grammar, vocabulary, writing, and reading comprehension. Lessons are flexible, engaging, and tailored to each student’s level and needs.
My aim is to create a friendly and motivating environment, where students feel comfortable to speak, make mistakes, and grow as independent English speakers.
