About Carly
I have a lot of background in water safety from lifeguarding and supervising for 6 years in aquatic. This allows me to teach students not only how to swim but also how to be safe in and around water. I swam competitively for 8 years and still do occasionally for fun so I am able to help set realistic goals that the student is able to meet. With all of my experience around the water from I know that swimming is not just a sport but a vital life skill. Teaching it allows me to instill confidence and safety in my students that lasts a lifetime.

Teaching swim lessons as a former competitive swimmer comes with a wealth of benefits and advantages. Here are some compelling reasons to consider:
Expertise and Knowledge: I have firsthand experience with various techniques, training regimens, and competitive strategies, allowing me to provide insights that go beyond basic swimming skills.
Passion for the Sport: My love for swimming can inspire students. Sharing my enthusiasm can help foster a positive learning environment, motivating you to improve and enjoy the water.
Technique Focus: I can emphasize proper form and technique from the start, helping students develop good habits that will benefit them as they progress.
Understanding of Progression:
Since I underwent the competitive swimming journey, I understand the stages of development and can guide students through their own progression effectively.
Confidence Building:
I know just how much the mental aspects of swimming, such as overcoming fear and building confidence, and can provide valuable support to students facing similar challenges.
