About Catherine
Hi! I’m Catherine, a primary teacher with a love for helping children grow in confidence and enjoy learning. I cover all subjects for primary-aged students, and I tailor every lesson to suit each child’s needs, interests, and learning style. I believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and rewarding. My lessons combine clear explanations, hands-on activities, and plenty of encouragement so that students feel supported while challenging themselves. I love seeing the moment a student truly understands a concept – it’s one of the most rewarding parts of teaching! Outside of tutoring, I enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and finding creative ways to make learning relevant and exciting. I am committed to creating a friendly, patient, and positive environment where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and build the skills they need to succeed both academically and personally.

I aim to make learning engaging, personalised, and confidence-building for every student. My lessons combine structured teaching with practical activities, ensuring concepts are understood and retained. I focus on breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps and using examples that relate to real-life situations, helping students see the relevance of what they learn.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and focus. I provide clear explanations, guided practice, and opportunities for independent work, offering feedback and encouragement throughout.
I am a primary teacher with several years of classroom experience, specialising in English and Maths. I have experience supporting students across a range of abilities, from early primary to upper primary levels. My lessons are suitable for students aged 5–12 who want to strengthen their skills, build confidence, or prepare for assessments.
