About Hiran

Hi, I'm Hiran, a Temasek Polytechnic Computer Engineering graduate with a deep love for Mathematics. Growing up in a family of engineers, math was always a part of my life. My parents’ passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking inspired me to pursue a strong foundation in mathematics, leading me to achieve A’s in both GCE O-Level and A-Level Mathematics. My journey as a tutor started when I began teaching my two younger cousin sisters. I saw how personalized guidance and patience could make a real difference in their understanding, and that experience sparked my passion for teaching. Since then, I've continued tutoring and honing my skills, gaining a sense of fulfillment from helping students succeed and grow in their academic journey. I specialize in Secondary School Mathematics, focusing on building a solid understanding of fundamental concepts while making the lessons engaging and fun. My approach is to create a balance between theory and application. I spend the first part of the lesson reinforcing key concepts, using examples that are easy to understand and relate to real-world situations. The latter half of the lesson is dedicated to applying those concepts through interactive problem-solving, where we work through practice questions together. I’m passionate about not just teaching math but also making it a subject that students enjoy. By making learning enjoyable and relevant, I aim to help my students not only perform well in exams but also develop a genuine interest in the subject. Whether it's acing your exams, mastering tricky topics, or building a strong mathematical foundation, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I am passionate about making math not only understandable but also engaging and fun! I don’t just go through the motions—I ensure my students truly grasp concepts before applying them to problem-solving. My lessons are structured to keep students motivated: the first half focuses on strengthening fundamental concepts, while the second half involves interactive problem-solving, real-world applications, and engaging exercises to make learning exciting. As a Temasek Polytechnic Computer Engineering graduate, I bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a dynamic approach to every session.
