I am a certified math teacher in the state of Connecticut in the United States. I have been working privately with students since 2012, and my passion lies in helping students understand difficult mathematical concepts. I approach each topic depending on my student's needs. I tailor my style to each person's individual learning style, so that if you are a visual person or an artist, I might explain transformations by discussing how a parent graph slides, reflects, and stretches, but if you work better by understanding algebraic concepts, I might show you how the x- and y- values are affected by various changes to a function. In the end, both learning styles will understand both approaches to transformations, but the entryway into the concept will differ depending on the student.
