About Amelia
I have worn many hats in my professional career. I have been both a professional pianist and organist for years, playing in churches at least once weekly, usually more! I have taught many one-on-one lessons in singing and piano, as well as teaching general music class to grades K-8 for a year.
In regards to my education, I have been playing piano for 13 years. I competed in the Young Artist Piano Competition at Westfield State University in the years 2018 and 2019, taking home 1st place in the former and 3rd places in the latter, both in the category “Length of Study”I have the most education in the realm of classical music, but I also have a lot of experience with improvisational music as well. Additionally, I have a lengthy history of voice lessons, with a knowledge of many techniques and genres

I work with a wide range of techniques, genres, and instruments and try to make my music lessons well-rounded learning experiences, as well as taking into account the goals/needs of each specific student. Learning music is a very personal journey for every student, and I try to tailor my lessons accordingly!
