About Mamta

Former D.A.V. Public School teacher with 20 years of experience. Taking both C.B.S.E. and I.C.S.E. board students from class 1 to class 12. No student has ever failed in school in English after taking my class for six months continuously.

About the lesson

Special focus on grammar rules, vocabulary, spoken English and extra reading. School syllabus and extra English practice are done side-by-side. Personal attention given, in small groups of 8 to 10 students each. Creative writing is encouraged by undertaking special exercises. ONLINE CLASSES are being conducted through Hangouts, Google Meet, WhatsApp etc.

Perfect! Mam is taking english lessons for my kids in year 4. We have had two sessions so far and our observation is that she has a methodical approach and is well prepared for the class. She gives them grammar and sentence formation exercises to solve in class and homework assignment after the class. She makes them to read from a book and to work on difficult words encountered during the class. This way all aspects of grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing are covered during each class. We definitely will continue with the sessions and would also recommend her to others.

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
English Language is widely used spoken and understood by a large number of people across the globe. I consider it to be a unifying factor amongst various communities and also the primary language for communication. Helping students learn this language gives me an opportunity to understand and communicate with people belonging to various countries.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I am motivated to teach and share my knowledge of English because I genuinely enjoy supporting and guiding my students. It gives me an intrinsic happiness and satisfaction when I am able to make a positive impact on students' lives. Also, interaction with young adults is a source of expanding my own thought process.
How does your work help society?
Teaching an international language helps individuals with the knowledge and critical thinking abilities to be able to work and integrate in society anywhere in the world. Also, it promotes economic growth and unification of the citizens by empowering individuals through better communication skills.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
According to me the best role models are the English news anchors as they have been trained professionally to speak the language correctly and also use the prevalent expressions.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
My favourite hobby is gardening. I find deep satisfaction and inner peace in growing vegetables, fruits, trees and flowers. Being amongst nature has a therapeutic effect on my mind.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
My favourite anecdotes involve teaching middle aged ladies in the age group of 50-60 years whom I was able to help in communicating in English language and start their second innings in different countries.
