About Jeski
Currently, I am living a corporate America life working as a Senior Operations Productions Coordinator for a bank that ranks number 9 in the Fortune 500 and it’s in such a role that I work with a cloud payment platform to seek out and find financial errors within our own banking systems technology. I then determine whether it has been created organically by the system itself or a fellow employee and then correct these errors all while following necessary guides, business intent, and regulatory errors. In addition, I own and run a Life Coaching company where I speak to my clients about sexual health and how they can best achieve it all the while providing a safe and confidential environment that is both validating and educational so they can leave our Zoom meetings feeling like the perfectly normal and valid human beings they are.
I am also still currently a student and I am one year away from my Bachelor of Science and teaching degree however in the meantime I have an Associate of Arts with an emphasis in Human Services, a Business Technologies Certification as well as a nursing certificate. I apply my Human Services knowledge to my charitable works with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as well as assisting local Native American tribes in their food and clothing drives throughout the year.
Finally, I am a single mother to a saucy little 3-year-old with whom I share my love of reading with every night with one of her dozens upon dozens of books.

My lessons rely largely on you! Brainstorming is always the forefront content at the beginning of all my classes. Before we even begin to string words together, we will do a brainstorming exercise. For instance, I often use prewriting in a creative writing class, and have it focus on the figurative language that comes to mind both before and after I have a verbal discussion on the subject material with you. To start, you will be asked a question that I will have you write down as you see fit to write it only after having done so we will begin to verbally discuss this question, during which time I will have you take notes on what we speak on. The idea is for you to go for a round two on answering that same question, but this time use the new and refined ideas of your own that our discussion has inspired. This activity shows often that during the first writing attempt the student emphasizes their personal response to the question whereas the second writing that occurs after speaking on the subject emphasizes understanding and including understanding of the room’s response to the question. Students with this technique have their viewpoints changed from singular to the all-encompassing. This technique is great for creative writing and even poetry as it allows the mind to stay within the realities of the who, what when, and why while still holding on to their original creative and original thought only revised and with more clarity.
When we approach essay writing there needs always be clear communication that the key to writing any good standing informational essay is communicating about the topic clearly and concisely. Not as you imagine it to be or think it should be but with undisputable facts backed up by necessary citation. I will ensure that you are aware of this lesson’s plan of action as we focused our energies on generating the official thesis statement, the supporting points, and a concluding statement. Before talking with you to establish the thesis statement that your essay is begging for. I would have you write out formal statements for each part of your essay, drafting it out to make for an easier roadmap to essay excellence. From there, you would be required to dispute your simple thesis statement and talk through it with me so that you can comfortably pass it over at the new formation of a more formal and information filled statement. Clearly, “What are we doing about the Homeless Epidemic?” talked through to form the more in-depth thesis of, “Every day shelters are filled to the brim with homeless throughout cities across the United States and still we have no knowledge as to how to create a permanent solution” is a definitive upgrade to your paper. From here, you fill your essay in using those formal statements and supporting points within MLA or APA standards as is required by your professor. Finally, you will then take the time to write your essay out on a separate piece of paper or on a word doc so that you are blatantly aware of how every word is necessary or unnecessary in the great endeavor to deliver clear information.
Finally, my approach to resume writing is simple- write about the job skills that you house that pertain to the job or career that you are aiming for. There is no such thing as a generic resume as though your job history will remain the same the qualities and take aways from those previous employers will consist of things that will apply at your new position. Think, if you will, of applying for a corporate position after being a retail store manager. You would not write on your resume under your retail store’s information about how you did inventory every 3 months and were sure to drop off the deposits to the bank every morning, would you? No, you would write about your customer service experience, the problem-solving skills you took away from that position, and the leadership experience that you have. All these things are absolutely accurate based on your previous employment as are the 3 facts before it but it’s the delivery that caters specifically to that corporate environment and those within it that we are looking for.

My son was struggling with his college essays and I mean STRUGGLING. I’ll be honest with you that I don’t know how he had managed to get through high school with such a lack of ability to write a basic essay for his classes, but I could definitely see how now a freshman in college, that he was struggling with it now. Every paper he turned in got picked apart and he even dropped his fall English Literature class because he could not seem to satisfy the teacher who expected more from a 19 year old than chunky paragraphs, run on sentences, no citations nor thesis in sight.
I approached Jeski through Facebook us having been a friend of a friend when I read some of her poetic works that she shared on there. I was moved and impressed at her way with words. I knew it was a long shot asking a poet if she had a clue how to help my son. Truth be told I probably should have been browsing for a tutor instead of Facebook but she just appeared and I thought why not ask as long as I’m willing to compensate her. She asked me to send her a picture of a paper of his to determine his ability before she agreed and thank God, she saw something to work with there and agreed to tutor him over Microsoft Teams. He improved within about three weeks though we kept her as a tutor for a few months. Apparently, she was seeing how much he wanted to say on the topics he was writing about, he just didn’t know how to specify, support, cite and provide structured paragraphs to back up his conclusions (all of which she let me know after a few sessions). That seems like all there is to writing right there but she assured me that he wasn’t hopeless because at the end of the day he had a belief and had something to say about it and that all the rest at the end of the day was learned behavior.
Michael is by no means an A student even now but he passed his theology class this semester and felt confident enough to take classes over the summer. I happily recommend her and promise you that if you get a chance to read her poetry you should do so because it is just moving. Thanks Jeski!
I wasn't overly surprised when Jeski told me she would be tutoring here and there. Especially not when she told me she was going to do such a thing regarding writing! She and I started out as colleagues and became fast friends through mentoring me in my role as I was promoted up to a Senior Coordinator as well. I was nervous and, honestly, English is my second language so I had a great fear of all of our department communications, responses, documents we created for any disputes we handled or claims we filed would come across as subpar and I was honest with Jeski about that a week or so into me working by her side. She was quick to reassure me and remind me that I'm doing a great job knowing two languages at all! She's always reassuring but she is also always focused on what needs to be done and quickly discussed with me where I felt like I was lacking, had me show her examples that eventually led to her sharing ideal documents (especially important ones I had to file for claims) that encompassed all of the necessary information and literary break down that basically ended up being the long and short of an informational essay with the power thesis being, "Give our cardholder their money back!" But with the facts cited from Visa's policy to support my bold statements. Jeski literally took me back to school and showed me that essay writing was not just a never-ending thing from college but was a marketable skill in our line of work. My ability to take personality out of those and focus more on informative breakdown has been polished solidly and I could not recommend her enough to any other person who might be struggling with their written words some as well.
