About Mical

From Struggles to Strength: How My Journey Led Me to Become Your Personal Trainer
Fitness isn’t just about building muscle or losing fat – it’s about transformation, resilience, and conquering the obstacles life throws at you. My story is one of overcoming adversity, and it’s what drives me to help others achieve not only their fitness goals but also a healthier mindset and a positive relationship with themselves. Here’s how I turned years of bullying, injury, and personal struggle into the foundation for my career as a personal trainer.

Overcoming the Struggles of Being Bullied
From primary school to high school, I was the kid who was picked on for being overweight. The teasing and bullying left me feeling insecure about myself, my body, and my worth. I’m sure many of you know the sting of being judged based on your appearance – it can feel like it defines who you are. For a long time, it did. I was the "fat kid," and I hated it. But that all began to change when I was 12 years old, and I discovered kickboxing.

Kickboxing: The Beginning of My Transformation
Kickboxing became my escape and my form of exercise. It wasn’t just a way to lose weight – it was a way for me to regain control over my body and my self-esteem. The discipline, the focus, and the sheer willpower needed in every training session taught me so much more than how to punch and kick. It taught me resilience. By the time I was 17, I had earned my black belt in kickboxing and completely transformed my body. I went from being the overweight, insecure kid to a lean, strong young man with a new sense of confidence.

But my journey didn’t stop there. At age 16, I discovered weightlifting, and that’s when I realized how much more I could achieve.

A Dangerous Lesson in the Gym
I joined a gym at 16 and started lifting weights, eager to build more muscle and strength. However, I soon encountered something I didn’t expect: trainers who were bullies. Some trainers at this gym would give clients incorrect or dangerous advice, even trying to force me to lift heavier weights with bad form during exercises like deadlifts. I was pressured into following their technique suggestions, which ultimately led to a severe spinal injury. The pain from the injury was debilitating – I spent an entire year battling chronic back pain.

This experience taught me an important lesson: fitness should never be about pushing yourself to the point of injury or overexertion. It should be about building your body up, not breaking it down. I also realized that the gym environment needed to change – it should be a place where people feel supported, not bullied.

Healing Through Yoga
After my injury, I took a step back and decided to heal properly. I began practicing yoga between the ages of 17 and 18, and it was a game-changer. Yoga helped me restore flexibility, mobility, and strength to my back. It allowed me to reconnect with my body, listen to it, and treat it with care. I spent that year healing physically and mentally, and by the time I was 18, I felt stronger and more balanced than I ever had before.

At that point, I was ready to return to weightlifting, but this time, I had learned how to approach it safely and intelligently. I combined my new-found mobility with strength training, and it wasn’t long before I had built the body I had always wanted – lean, strong, and healthy.

The Next Chapter: Becoming a Personal Trainer
Fast forward to today, and I’m now 23 years old, fitter and healthier than ever. I’ve spent the last five years lifting weights, refining my training, and gaining valuable experience in the gym. But what excites me most now is the opportunity to help others on their fitness journeys. My mission is to uplift people, help them reach their goals, and provide them with the kind of safe, supportive, and positive environment that I wish I had when I first started.

I’m passionate about teaching proper form, ensuring that every client trains in a way that’s not only effective but also safe. No one should ever feel bullied or pressured into pushing themselves beyond their limits. My goal is to help you build strength, confidence, and a healthier mindset – all while ensuring you feel supported and motivated every step of the way.
