About Hannah
As a full time teacher in Year 1 I love my job and helping children achieve everyday. Seeing them gain confidence and resilience to achieve their goals makes the job both rewarding and enjoyable. I want o help children from all situations whether they are high achievers or need extra help in certain areas. Especially if they find mainstream school tricky having that extra help makes a huge difference.
Primary years is an exciting engaging time for children and they learn a great deal in the time that they are there!

I am a fully qualified Primary school teacher with vast knowledge from all year groups, especially keys stage 1 (years 1 & 2).
Phonics/Reading - teaching children to read is a fundamental essential skill that begins from a young age, phonics is the way we teach this helping children to decode and read words. Early reading is an area I specialise in as a Year 1 full time teacher. I can help children who find this tricky and may need extra practice. (20 min sessions)
English - writing skills. I can help children construct sentences and use correct punctuation. Covering a variety of different styles of text from fiction, non-fiction and poetry. (30 min sessions)
Maths - helping children understand basic math skills and gain knowledge of key topics:- place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, time, shape, money etc. (30 min sessions)
Other subjects :- science, art, PSHE, history, geography, RE.
