About Cheryl
I am an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic science teacher. I believe that all children can be successful learners by creating a classroom which is stimulating, encouraging and adaptive to the varied needs of the students. I have 16 years experiences teaching students in a range of curriculums from British Curriculum, IGCSE Science, IB DP Biology SL and HL and DP Sport Sciences. My DP students improved their grades from 2's and 3's to on average 5 - 7. I have a lot of experience in preparing students to be successful in their exams and internal assessments.

I have a passion for teaching all Sciences, although Biology is my speciality. I want to enthuse students by developing their passion for lifelong learning and encouraging them to think creatively and have the desire to learn. By being creative and making learning fun, interesting and accessible for all, students will be able to learn and flourish.
Whilst teaching, I implement a wide variety of differentiated teaching strategies. This ensures all abilities and learning styles are catered for so each student can reach their own potential. I particularly like to use lots of interactive online labs based on the scientific method as well as a wide range of ICT activities to support and enrich student learning. ICT strategies I have used in the class range from the use of interactive learning games and VLE for submitting homework and projects. I also like using Nearpod to deliver live interactive lessons.
