About Shawn
I have been providing tutoring for approximately 1 year in various subjects. I have worked with 5 students up to this point, and I have gotten favorable reviews. The students I am now workiing with have improved their grades up to 1 grade level. I have found that my strongest tutoring subjects are in the social sciences and humanities.

I have earned a BS in Psychology, and two Masters' Degrees - in Library Science and Religious Studies. I also have some experience tutoring medical terminology. I tutor students in K-12 and Junior College(2 year). I like to ask questions of students, and I create my own lesson plans. I believe that the most effective learning comes from a dialogue with the student, and that is geared to their learning style.

Details
I normally set my rates based on preparation and travel time. Therefore, high school and college students would normally be a higher rate. Also, travel is an add-on expense for me. I would charge at $.37 a mile.
