What we will do:
One of the best ways to learn English is to read a lot and write a lot. In fact, a lot of grammar exercises and memorization can be thrown in the trash and replaced with widely reading and then writing in reaction to that reading. In this course we will pick reading materials at an appropriate level for you and then write responses to that reading. We will learn how to write academic essay and fictional texts. We will learn how to structure them and along the way we’ll learn vocabulary and grammar patters as we need them.
Why you should pick me
I have been teaching English writing and reading for over ten years. My current grade 4 ESL students can write expository essays, descriptive essays, debate essays and opionon essays. All of them can structure arguments, use achademic writing and write accurately. They also also use figurative language in their pieces of fiction. They can vividly describe characters and settings using complex words and structure their writing in a coherent way. I have written material to use in both writing and reading and adapt materials for your needs.
