About Kah Wai

As a passionate educator with over 30 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to helping young children develop strong academic foundations and a lifelong love of learning. My educational journey began with a degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield (UK), followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Central England in Birmingham. Throughout my career, I have taught early elementary students in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, Texas, and California. I hold teaching credentials from the UK, California, and Texas, and completed the Texas Reading Academy's intensive year-long Science of Reading program, further strengthening my expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction.

About the lesson

I provide personalized online tutoring for students in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. My specialties include phonics, reading, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and early mathematics. Every lesson is tailored to each child's unique strengths, learning style, and pace. My patient, encouraging, and structured teaching approach helps students gain confidence while developing the essential skills they need for long-term academic success.
