About Sarah

Hello! I'm here to ignite your creativity and passion for art. With my Art Ed teaching endorsement and experience in diverse media—from printmaking to gouache, katazome fabric dying, and collage—I offer personalized guidance tailored to your unique artistic journey. Let's dive into a world of imagination and expression together!"

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around personalized learning experiences that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I employ a student-centered approach, where I actively engage learners in the learning process and adapt my teaching style to accommodate their preferred learning modalities. Additionally, I foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and self-expression.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson begins with a brief assessment to gauge the student's current understanding and identify areas for growth. From there, I design lesson plans that are structured yet flexible, incorporating a mix of instruction, practice exercises, and feedback sessions. I prioritize active participation and encourage students to ask questions and seek clarification as needed. At the end of each session, I provide constructive feedback and set clear goals for the next meeting to ensure continuous progress.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
My interdisciplinary background in art, Spanish, and linguistics, coupled with my certificate in illustration and years of experience as a working artist, uniquely position me to offer diverse perspectives and expertise across multiple subjects. I leverage my passion for creativity and language to inspire students and foster a deeper appreciation for the subjects we explore together. Additionally, my dedication to individualized instruction and ongoing support sets me apart, as I strive to empower students to reach their full potential and achieve their academic goals.

Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons are tailored to a wide range of learners, including students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Whether you're a beginner seeking to develop foundational skills or an advanced learner looking to refine your abilities, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are and help you progress at your own pace.
