About Abbie
My goal in working with each student is to help them develop strategies and tools to succeed in meeting their own independent goals. I am a graduating college senior focused in education and speech therapy which has helped me to establish great learning strategies, work with different age groups, and find alternative methods where individuals don't succeed. I am passionate about reading and writing and hope to help individuals gain the tools and skills they need to thrive in their experiences.

I use hands-on and step-by-step support to guide students in the right direction to meet their goals. Each lesson is specified for the goals and the age of the student. For younger students, working on reading, grammar, and spelling, we would start with an evaluation of their skills to develop a timeline to meet the goals. Once skills are assessed and understood, we can establish what the individual needs in each session. For older students, we will look at the goals of assignments, and particular areas of difficulty, and develop short-term goals to achieve success in difficult areas. Depending on the support needs, we can establish proper tools and strategies to develop independent abilities. I can work with students from elementary school to high school. Younger students focused on reading, writing, grammar, and literacy. Older students focused on essay writing, including planning, English test prep, and different types of paper writing.
