About Nicholas
I have years of experience working with children and adolescents, both inside and outside an education setting. I have taught merit badges with the Boy Scouts, and I have taught multiple self-crafted lessons while in school and student teaching. I am a confident public speaker and know that I can assist any young student learn and improve their writing, reading, analytical, and research skills to prepare for higher education.

My teaching methodology is focused on the student experience and their ability to learn both in class and individually. I have a degree in adolescent education and History, with a minor in Geography. My focus in on high school students, but I have plenty of experience working with seventh and eighth grade students as well. My lessons will be centered on student research and learning. I will provide the overview for the lesson and make sure that they will have the required level of understanding of the necessary concepts and themes that are covered. To do this, I will have them improve their own research and analytical skills by conducting some of their own learning. I am very experienced with tech and online research, and with this I will find a wealth of resources that will supplement lessons appropriately. Students will receive direct instruction from me and perform individual work and research with these resources so that they are able to gain a deeper understanding of the people and concepts that we are discussing. This will be beneficial further down the road when they are performing their own research and analysis.
