About Alistair
Having been on both ends of a tutoring session I understand the huge benefits that tutoring can bring. This only works however when done well. I love to tutor to create a space that is specific for how you like to learn, so that we can make the process as helpful for you as possible. While teachers have to accommodate a whole class full of varied learning needs, tutoring allows for a personalized experience. Beyond my work in psychology I love to spend my time outdoors. I am a keen runner and also enjoy regularly tramping in the bush. While out I love to look out for the native birdlife, and get involved in a number of conservation projects.

I look to structure sessions in ways that best suits your learning needs. We all differ in what works for us, so we'll work together to figure out how I can best support you to achieve your goals. An hour tends to work well to work through some topics and put them into practice, but can be flexible on timings.
I'm open to teaching any ages and levels. I have tutored Year 9 upwards, have taught on undergraduate university programs, and deliver adult and youth psychoeducation programs in my day job.
I have previously tutored psychology, maths, chemistry, biology and physics. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and Statistics, and a PhD in Psychological research.
