About John

I have 30+ experience as a packaging and industrial engineer with working knowledge of algebra, statistics, EXCEL programs. Successfully tutored college level algebra and pre-calculus coursework. Passion for teaching children and adolescents to help them master mathematics at all levels.

About the lesson

Mathematics is based on building block process of basic principles that build upon each other. Deep understanding of each building block is necessary for students to learn the subject matter and not simply get passing grades in the current assignment. My approach begins by learning if each student understands the basic building blocks needed to understand the current subject matter. My first job is to fill each students gap(s) in their specific math skill so they can master the current subject. The lesson plan needs to be customized for each child.
