About Lynn
Teaching has always been my passion. I started as a child teaching children in our backyard during summer holidays then moved to teaching swimming lessons for children and eventually became a university professor. I have just returned from nine years in China where I taught English communication skills to graduate level students. I also began to have classes for children of some of these students. Classes were initially in person in my apartment, but during the past three years since the pandemic, we changed to online learning. The students, their families, and I developed close relationships as the children grew--so much so that a number of them continue to do classes online even though I have returned to Canada. While living in The Bahamas, I taught combined Grades Three/Four and Four/Five classes and tried to foster an inquisitive and creative spirit in the children.
