About Mina
I'm Mina, a Health Sciences student at the University of Otago working toward Dentistry. My academic background spans an IB Diploma (41/45), a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney as a Dalyell Scholar, and Dean's List recognition at both institutions. I have always wanted to help my peers if they were struggling with something I found manageable and have always been thanked saying that they passed or did way better than they thought they would in their exams because of the way I reframed and taught the concepts. Alongside my studies, I work as a health coach, translating clinical and lab information into clear guidance for clients, a skill I bring directly into how I teach. I take tutoring seriously: sessions are well-prepared, focused on what you actually need to know, and built around your specific syllabus and assessments. My goal is for you to leave every lesson clearer and more confident than when you arrived.

Hi, I'm Mina! I'm studying Health Sciences at the University of Otago on my way to Dentistry, and I tutor high school science and chemistry, plus university-level study skills and exam prep.
My approach
I identify exactly what's needed for the next test, then work backwards, breaking concepts down to first principles, flagging high-yield material, and using active recall and past papers to turn understanding into exam-ready technique. For study skills, I focus on realistic revision schedules and what markers actually look for in an answer.
Lesson length: 60–90 minutes.
One-off exam prep sessions or ongoing weekly support, depending on what you need.
My background
IB Diploma (41/45), Dean's List through high school, then a Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney as a Dalyell Scholar, where I made the Dean's List and won the Business Dalyell Industry Impact Award twice. I'm now in first-year Health Sciences at Otago, working toward Dentistry — so I'm living this content, not teaching it from a distance.
