About Fredrik
I used to teach large classes in general, physical and computational chemistry to 40-100 students at college level. It meant I prepared 45 min long lectures. They were prepared in order to excite the students in the topic I love. I am a natural teacher, in part because of my own curiosity. I love to talk about the wonders of Nature at the molecular level.

I have gained deep understanding of chemistry from many years of both teaching the subject as well as conducting research in chemistry using computational chemistry and organic synthesis (wetlab work). I like to think in images; drawing figures on paper to share with students. I am a good communicator, where identifying how the student thinks about the subject and what the student finds difficult to comprehend is of central importance. I teach problem-solving skills: how to approach a problem and then strategize how to solve it. Finally, I am passionate about chemistry, particularly chemical structure and catalysis. I would love to share this passion and curiosity with students through tutoring.
