I have experience working with students from 8 years and older. For junior high school students, we will build a program that will develop mathematical thinking and prepare the basis for future studies and profession.
With high school students, we will close the gaps and prepare for any tests.
The 5-year experience of my own participation in math Olympiads helped prepare my students to become prize-winners and winners of various math Olympiads.
Typical work with me consists of the following stages:
- acquaintance and testing of the student,
- my analysis of the student's skills,
- building an individual program based on the requirements for the outcome of education and testing results,
- regular work on closing weaknesses and developing the strengths of the student.
I use a communicative and personal approach. In the lesson, we first discuss the problem (for example, how to build a slide on the playground so that the slope is as convenient as possible), then we solve it using mathematics (in the example above, the related topic is the derivative of a function). Thus, the student understands why a particular topic in mathematics is needed and it is easier for him to study it.
