About Tinatin

I am a filmmaker and screenwriter who recently graduated from Central Film School in London with a degree in Film. During my studies and personal projects, I have written and directed 9 short films and worked on many other productions as a cinematographer and screenwriter, gaining practical experience in how stories move from script to screen.

I have also lived in 8 different cities, and experiencing different cultures, people, and environments has greatly influenced the way I approach storytelling. These experiences have helped me develop a deeper understanding of characters, perspectives, and human stories, which I bring into both my filmmaking and my teaching.

Filmmaking has always been my passion, especially the process of developing ideas and turning them into compelling screenplays. I’m particularly interested in creative and experimental cinema, and I believe every writer has a unique voice that can grow through the right guidance and practice.

As a tutor, my goal is to support and guide students through the creative process, helping them gain confidence in their writing and develop the skills needed to tell strong cinematic stories.

I enjoy working with creative people and helping new writers bring their film ideas to life.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on guiding students step-by-step through the process of writing a complete screenplay.

In our lessons, we will follow the Syd Field three-act screenwriting structure, which is one of the most widely used storytelling frameworks in the film industry. Each lesson focuses on a specific stage of the screenwriting process, helping students gradually build their story in a structured and professional way.

During each session, I will introduce and explain an important element of screenwriting such as story concept, character development, plot points, structure, and scene construction. After the lesson, students will receive practical homework exercises designed to apply what they learned.

By completing these exercises and developing their ideas step by step, students will gradually build their screenplay. By the end of the course, they will have a completed screenplay or a strong draft ready for further development.

Because I have written and directed multiple films myself, I also guide students to think about how scripts work visually on screen, not just on paper. My goal is to help students develop both strong storytelling skills and practical filmmaking awareness.

Details

Because screenwriting is a step-by-step creative process, I also offer lesson packages at a reduced rate for students who want to develop a full screenplay over multiple sessions. These packages allow us to work consistently through the different stages of the writing process, following the Syd Field three-act structure.

Lessons are typically one-on-one, allowing me to focus on each student’s individual story, script, and creative goals. Students will also receive writing exercises and homework between lessons to help them progress with their screenplay.

By working through the full process and completing the assignments, students can finish a strong screenplay draft by the end of the course.

The first lesson can focus on developing your film idea and outlining your story, so we can begin building your screenplay from the very first session.
