I have experience working with kids at the Boys and Girls Club, as well as their theater program (ClubHouse Academy), and have subbed leading rehearsal at my local theater TopHat8Repertory. I prefer to teach based on the interests of the student, so anything is on the table! I have many art books, and resources in general. Learning how to utilize creativity is one of my favorite things to look at. Creating a story behind the work, whether a painting, animation, sculpture or character is one of the best parts of being an artist. We can focus on drawing realistically from life or photo references, or learning to draw from our mind using shapes. Pushing the overall expression of a piece, and learning about the world around us including other artists that can imp us or are similar to us is another focus.

Timari is very kind and patient with the kids! She has great techniques that translate well into teaching children. She keeps them interested and motivated, developing such a bond with them during classes. I have observed a lot of growth in their art.
