About Alexis

I’m a singing tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus in Voice. My true passion lies in vocal storytelling, especially through Jazz Standards, Broadway solos, and the Golden Age repertoire. I love helping singers unlock the emotional depth and musical nuances in timeless classics. Whether it’s learning to swing a phrase, add tasteful jazz ornamentation, or bring a character to life through song, I guide each student with care and precision. I specialize in lead sheet reading and interpreting music with both style and authenticity. My teaching blends vocal technique with dramatic insight, helping students shape each note into something meaningful. I’ve worked with passionate adult learners, seasoned community theater actors, and singers returning to their voice after years away.
