About Helen
One thing I've learned from teaching chemistry is that students improve faster when they understand the reason behind each concept. I enjoy making complex ideas easier and creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
I have a Master's Degree and 8 years of teaching experience with school and university students. My experience has helped me support learners with different academic goals, from improving subject knowledge to preparing for important examinations.
Seeing students gain confidence and use chemistry concepts independently is what makes teaching meaningful to me.

My chemistry lessons are focused on creating a clear understanding of concepts through simple explanations, examples, and guided practice. I help students connect different topics so they can apply chemistry knowledge with confidence.
We'll explore molecular structure, chemical formulas, periodic properties, organic compounds, reaction mechanisms, solutions, acids and bases, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium, laboratory methods, and analytical techniques. Lessons include problem-solving activities, concept reviews, and exam-focused practice based on student needs.
I provide personalised feedback, learning goals, and regular progress discussions to support improvement. My aim is to help students develop strong chemistry knowledge and approach challenging topics with confidence.
