About Shivom

Hi! My name is Shivom, and I am currently a student on a gap year. Given I have finished my A Level examinations recently, the idea of how to get through exams is fresh in my mind and I know what each student requires for their academic success. Every student has so much potential, and my role is to bring out that potential through inspiration and finding their incentive. I enjoy tutoring because not only do I interact with students who want to excel in their education, but it enables me to provide personal support that helped me during exams. I have experience of tutoring, where I worked with a local large company as a tutoring assistant and provided 1:1 support to students. My role will not only be of a tutor, but will also be of a personal mentor and of a friend :)

About the lesson

I achieved 81% in A Level Economics, which was one of the highest marks in my cohort. The main driving force was my passion for the subject, due to which I will be studying it at university. I believe that every student has that passion within them, which I will bring out. My lessons will be student-centred, focusing on what my student wants so that progress can be maximised. A typical lesson will be 1-2 hours long, and will consist of reviewing the last lesson, going over the plan for today’s lesson, going over content, and using active recall through answering questions and engaging in Q and A. There will be a lot of focus on exam practice as well. There will also be access to my notes and exam scripts. I have experience as a tutor before, where I have worked with a large local tutoring company as an assistant, providing 1:1 to students of KS1 and KS2 study. The lessons will be for A Level Economics students (Edexcel A is preferable). Economics A Level may seem like the hardest thing right now, but with my lessons you will be ready to smash those exams in no time!
